Hi babes! I have an amazing question from Hilda today about how to explain a gap in employment from taking time off to just chill and not be crushed under capitalism for a cotdamn minute! As we all know, employers don't typically like hearing that you are an autonomous being who doesn't like working, so how do we explain time that we needed to take in between jobs to rest, heal, and/or relax?
Pulling from my own experience and also my knowledge as someone who has worked closely with hiring managers and HR people, I give my best tips for interviewing for new jobs with a gap in employment, whether that gap is short or long, and whether you are old (like me! ;P) or young!
